Yes. They are covered as they form part of the sum insured.  

5. Is it expensive to have Home Owners' Insurance?

No. It is one of the cheapest insurance but it also depends on the sum insured.  

6. Is premium paid at the time of claim?

No. Premium is paid at inception of cover.
